A Crafty Way

For all you crafty, talented people I would like to get together for some fun, sharing & fellowship. On the 3rd Saturday of every month I will be starting a "share your talents" group in the the Fellowship Hall from 10am-12pm with a potluck lunch to follow. Anyone who is interested is encouraged to bring your ideas and any supplies you will need for your craft to share with others. This could be anything from card making and scrapbooking to knitting or just sharing recipes. I hope that many of you will take this opportunity to have some fun and learn a new craft or share yours with others. The first get together will be on Saturday August 21st. Women's Ministries

This ministry meets once a month, the second Tuesday of the month, for a program of devotions, Bible study, fellowship and mission outreach.

We also attend a Spring and Fall Women's Classical Conference at one of our local RCA Churches.

Many of us participated in the Neighborhood "Meat and Greet" August 29th where we had a picnic in the nearby park with our neighbors. It was hot, but enjoyable. Met many new people and had a good time.

Women's Ministries is starting off the season with a brunch and a special speaker, who will present the "Fish Theory" on Saturday, October 10th. In November, we will return to our studies and discussion group on "Bad Girls of the Bible (And What We Can Learn From Them) by Liz Curtis Higgs. Our monthly meetings will begin in November with hymn singing, devotions and prayer. After our discussion session it is followed with prayer, refreshments and fellowship. In March, we will have our Lenten Brunch with a speaker, good food and fellowship. Women of all ages are invited.

We have a Prayer Intercessor group that meets on Wednesday mornings and visits with one of our sisters who's in a private care home.

Last year, WM set out to replace the chairs in the Fellowship Hall and were successful (with the help of many donations) in purchasing forty new durable, stackable chairs and some new tables. This year's project has not been decided upon as yet.

We are always ready to serve our congregation and to meet our church family's needs.
