RCCCP News

During the week we averaged 12 students.

Craft time and science project time was a great benefit during this week, we also did activities that helps us learn a bit more about our kids and their feelings, with the completion of their "MY BOOK ABOUT FEELINGS. This info will be used to help us plan better.

Movie time was substituted by outdoor play time, it was much more fun to have a great time outside than to be watching a movie that really wasn't that exciting for the students.

Homework time is always a time to learn and understand our kids, the linkage between themselves and the willingness to help out with the younger ones, this seen by the eyes and caring spirit of the older students attending TRC.

Thanks for support, prayers and trust in us, and also thanks to each parent for the confidence in our Program.

We continue in need of prayers for new approach in our daily activities, to become much better than we are and to go beyond the expectancy of our clients - parents -, knowing that this will be able with much more training that what we have achieved so far. In this sense I will be attending to a workshop on Thursday about AUTISM, itīs always good to know as much as we can so that we can understand the kids we are working with.

Sincerely, Ms. Valarie

PS: Craft materials were ordered during the last week and we expect to have them here by the 03/12. These are seasonal craft ST PATRICK'S, HOLY SEASON AND EARTH'S DAY we are preparing for these upcoming dates.

Truly Remarkable Children

An After-School Enrichment Program

"Where every child is loved and respected, and encouraged to develop their unique mix of God-given talents and gifts."

TRC is a program to provide a safe place for school age children in kindergarten through 5th grade. The program operates during the school year from school dismissal until 6 PM. The children are escorted from local elementary schools to the church. The program includes homework assistance, craft time, and outside play.

During our summer program, we are open from 7 AM to 6 PM for working parents. The program includes crafts and Vacation Bible School, water fun, field trips to the park, basketball, soccer, and tether ball.

Our Philosophy and Goals

Our program is a developmental program supported by the Arizona Department of Health Services. Our goal is to provide a safe and nurturing environment for each child enrolled, while promoting the individual social, physical, emotional, and cognitive development of each child. RCCCP believes each child is a unique individual and we seek to provide an environment that will enable them the opportunity to grow, learn, and develop at their own pace.

Program Director and Staff
